Class Structure for Adults
At Legacy Quran Institute, we believe that every 30-minute one-on-one online session should be engaging, interactive, and personalized to meet the unique needs of adult learners. Our structured approach helps students build a strong connection with the Quran while developing a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings.
Warm Welcome & Revision — First 5 Minutes
Warm Greeting & Interaction:
Each session begins with a warm “As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh”, creating a respectful, comfortable, and welcoming learning environment.
Student Check-In:
The teacher briefly checks in with the student, ensuring they are comfortable and ready to begin the lesson.
Revision of the Previous Lesson:
The recording from the previous session, provided for home practice, is reviewed to refresh the student’s memory, correct mistakes, and strengthen retention.
Main Lesson — 20 Minutes
Focused & Structured Learning:
The main portion of the class is dedicated to focused Quranic learning, allowing students to develop their skills and understanding at a steady pace.
Personalized Instruction:
Every lesson is adapted according to the student’s current level, learning pace, and individual goals, ensuring consistent and measurable progress.
Lesson Recording for Home Practice:
The student’s recitation or lesson is recorded and shared with them so they can practice independently between sessions and work on areas that need improvement.
Additional Islamic Learning — Final 5 Minutes
The final five minutes are dedicated to developing broader Islamic knowledge and connecting learning with everyday life. Topics may include:
- Salah (Prayer) Guidance — Improving prayer recitation and understanding the importance of Salah.
- Dua Memorization — Learning beneficial duas from the Quran and Sunnah.
- Quran Translation & Tafsir — Understanding the meanings, lessons, and context of Quranic verses.
- Hadith Learning — Studying the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and learning how to apply them in daily life.
- Islamic History — Exploring important events and personalities from Islamic history to strengthen knowledge and faith.
